About:
20 Tri-County Varsity cheerleaders raised money and participated in the PurpleStride Walk to end pancreatic cancer.
They shared on their social media outlets and asked for donations from friends, families and neighbors.
They walked 3 miles on Sunday May 2 at TC high school in Franklin, Ma as part of the Rhode Island PanCan Virtual walk.
PanCan’s PurpleStride is a year round, national movement that funds life changing programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. My brother, Jimmy Jackman was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on October 30, 2020 and lost his battle on January 2, 2021. My daughter, Ava is a sophomore at TC and is second year on Varsity cheer. The entire team embraced this fundraiser and did a great job raising funds for it.
