From October 5–11, Uxbridge High School is hosting a week-long Breast Cancer Awareness initiative to raise funds and support for the Karen Wellington Foundation. This special effort honors two staff members who have courageously faced breast cancer and celebrates the strength of the community coming together for a meaningful cause.
The goal for the week is $2,000, and students, families, and fans are encouraged to wear pink to games and participate in fundraising activities. By engaging in these events, Uxbridge student-athletes are not only promoting awareness but also teaching the values of compassion, leadership, and service.
Through initiatives like Breast Cancer Awareness Week, Uxbridge High School demonstrates how athletics can be a platform for positive community impact, inspiring others to get involved and support those affected by breast cancer.
