About:
On October 5th, the Westford Academy Girls Soccer team joined forces with Chelmsford High School for a very special matchup—“Kick for a Cure.”
The game was about more than just soccer. It was about raising awareness and showing support for those impacted by cancer. Players, coaches, families, and fans from both schools came together, using the athletic platform to shine a light on an important cause and unite their communities.
On the field, the game ended in a hard-fought 1-1 tie, showcasing the strength and determination of both teams. Off the field, however, it was a victory for community spirit, compassion, and the shared commitment to making a difference.
Events like “Kick for a Cure” are powerful reminders that high school athletics extend far beyond competition—they create opportunities for young people to give back, raise awareness, and inspire others
