The Wakefield High School Volleyball team traveled to Boston to participate in the Together in Teal 5K, supporting the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
The team’s involvement highlights their commitment not only to athletics but also to giving back to the community and raising awareness for important causes.
“We chose this event because a close friend of mine lost her mother to ovarian cancer. She set up a team for family and friends, so as a program we decided to join the walk to support. We walked 5K and donated to the cause. The girls were amazing and supportive—the whole team came!”
