Waltham boys hockey has volunteered to work at the Paddy’s Road Race for the past 11 years. WHS hockey alum, Pat O’Hara and his family, own the restaurant and coordinate the annual road race. Proceeds from the race benefit Newton Special Athletes – this year they set a record of having 2,100 participants. Our players arrive at 5:00 am and for the next 3 or 4 hours set up tables, barriers, etc. for the race.
This has been a tradition that the players have embraced. The O’Hara family is most appreciative of the efforts of the team to help make the race a success.
