The Wareham Girls Soccer program hosted our 13th annual Breast Cancer Awareness game on October 21, 2022. The team, composed of 15 athletes and several younger siblings decorated the stands and along the fences with posters, streamers, and balloons. Posters were made during the week leading up to the Friday night game. We set up a baked goods table that asked for donations rather than putting prices on items. Along with the Miracle Minute during halftime, during which members of the team wearing their Pink Game jerseys, fanned out in the stands collecting donations from fans using pink-painted half soccer balls to hold all of the money. Between the baked goods table and the Miracle Minutes, we raised $638 dollars to donate to The Little Things – Jenna’s Wish List.
