About:
The Xaverian Brothers High School Baseball program is bringing its community together for a powerful cause through the “Walk and Toss for Teddie” event, a special fundraiser dedicated to supporting families affected by childhood cancer.
Scheduled for May 9, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Xaverian football field, the event will feature a community walk-a-thon and cornhole tournament designed to raise funds and awareness in the fight against pediatric cancer.
The Hawks are partnering with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund to host the event, with proceeds going directly toward supporting cancer research and families facing the challenges of childhood cancer.
Held in honor of Teddie, the initiative reflects the heart of the Xaverian baseball community and its commitment to standing beside those impacted by cancer. By combining friendly competition with community action, the program is turning a day of sports and connection into meaningful impact.
Participants can join the walk, compete in the cornhole tournament, or support the cause through donations. Every contribution helps strengthen the mission to “X-Out Cancer.”
Community members are encouraged to register, donate, or help spread the word to expand the impact of this important event.
