EXPLORER STUDENT-ATHLETES LEND A HAND ON FRESHMEN MOVE-IN DAY

September 9, 2014 By Team Up 4 Community

PHILADELPHIA – Student-athletes from the field hockey, men’s soccer, club rugby and club hockey teams took time out of their schedule on Thursday morning to assist on Freshmen Move-In Day, welcoming the Class of 2018.

The squads split among all the freshman dorms to keep up a La Salle tradition of extending hospitality to new students and their parents by lifting mini-fridges, boxes, televisions and many more dorm items into student rooms. Thanks to their help, move-in day progressed smoothly and efficiently so the new students could get to the fun task of decorating their first college rooms and meeting their floormates before heading to the opening day barbeque on the quad.

The move-in day volunteering is one of the many ways in which La Salle student-athletes build on the sense of community and spirit of service at La Salle.
