In recognizing a need to stock the shelves of local food pantries throughout the year, Wading River Elementary School’s Character Counts Committee organized a March Madness Food Drive. The community service effort proved to be the most successful in the school’s history with a final donation tally of 8,159 food items. All items will be delivered to local churches, veteran groups and area food pantries.
