Orange & Black Gives Back: Feed The Children

June 23, 2016 By Team Up 4 Community

STILLWATER – Over 400 Stillwater families were touched by Feed the Children on Tuesday, and Oklahoma State Athletics was happy to be a small part of that big effort.

The Cowboys and Cowgirls across several different sports participated through the department’s charitable wing, Orange & Black Gives Back. OSU student-athletes helped families load their cars with everything from canned goods to books, and helped put a smile on the faces of Stillwater residents.

“This is about more than Oklahoma State; this impacts our community,” said Cowboy basketball head coach Brad Underwood. “Our players need to understand that we have a little bit of a platform and just how fortunate they are, and that it’s important to give back. Feed the Children is a wonderful organization. An effort like this takes tons of outstanding volunteers and organizers, and we’re just a small part of that. Stillwater is our home, and we need to do everything to help the people in our community.”
