March 30, 2021 By Team Up 4 Community Leave a Comment

Garden City High School senior Jessica Poz takes pride in her work and puts a great deal of effort into every task. Faculty members share that she is thorough, appreciates accuracy, and likes to think outside the box. She enjoys helping her peers, is well-organized, uses her time wisely and has demonstrated resourcefulness and insight in her quest for knowledge.

Jessica has engaged in an academic program of high rigor with great success, obtaining placement on the Principal’s List. She also plays varsity volleyball, is a member of the National Honor Society and World Language Italian Honor Society and has been part of the Italian club since her freshman year. Jessica has devoted her time to working with individuals with special needs at Camp Anchor and helping ENL students learn to read in a nearby school district, and has also volunteered with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and at the Garden City Public Library.

She demonstrates well-developed skills across all domains of academia, leadership, teamwork, and communication.

Submissions are from staff, students, or parents. To nominate a GCHS senior, please contact Assistant Principal for Guidance and PPS Mandi Stefankiewicz at stefankiewiczm@gcufsd.net
