Harborfields High School observes 9/11 with Field of Honor

September 14, 2021 By Team Up 4 Community Leave a Comment

Harborfields High School’s student government, under the leadership of Barbara McCullagh and Kerri McGinty, came up with the idea of creating a display to honor the nation and observe the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. They worked with Councilman Mark Cuthbertson’s office and Dr. Daniel Picard to secure flags for a Field of Honor on the school’s front lawn. When the flags were delivered on Sept. 9, six members of Harborfields’ junior varsity boys soccer team – Jack Bunt, Ali Reza Chaviwalla, Sean Duff, Owen Lakshimi, Vance Sherman and Viraj Vaish – volunteered to help set them up. The school also set up flags and several 9/11 banners throughout the property and building.
