Tamarac Elementary School students in the Sachem Central School District volunteered their time to help a local family in need. The students chose to use their recess time to learn how to knit. They each made squares that were then put together to make a blanket for a family in need. In addition to the blanket, the students donated toys and clothes for their adopted family.
