After seeing how challenging it was for their own grandparents to access a COVID-19 vaccine appointment, siblings Ryan Levinter and Dylan Levinter assisted at a family-created website that links eligible people to available locations.
Ryan, who is a seventh grader at Merrick Avenue Middle School, and Dylan, who is a ninth grader at Sanford H. Calhoun High School, have been helping their cousin with his Bar Mitzvah project, www.vaccinehelper.com. The overwhelming demand has turned this into a real team effort.
“To date the website has booked over 2,000 appointments for people,” explained their mother, Dory.
