On Sept. 9, students and staff in the Three Village Central School District honored Patriot Day and showed their respect for the men and women who lost their lives on 9/11. They participated in activities and events that taught students about Sept. 11, 2001 while recognizing how the country came together in a time of need.
At Minnesauke and Nassakeag elementary schools, each student planted an American flag on the front lawn of the building. Students and staff members at Ward Melville High School lined Old Town Road with American flags to pay tribute. In addition, many students across the district’s buildings wore red, white and blue as a symbol of solidarity.
