LI Sports Impact Challenge 2026-2027

GOAL

For the 2026-2027 school year, the W20 Foundation’s Project Team Up 4 Community is challenging Youth Athletes to give back throughout our Long Island Communities in the Nassau Vs. Suffolk Challenge. #NassauVsSuffolk

From September 1st, 2026 to June 30th, 2027 every month an athlete, team, school or organization that involves athletes, ages 6-24 YO, can participate in the Nassau Vs. Suffolk Challenge with a chance to receive an exciting prize simply by sharing the community service work you are a part of!

Athletes, teams, schools or organizations involving athletes can upload a community service project to www.TeamUp4Community.org throughout the school year and select which county (Nassau or Suffolk) they are representing.

The TU4C website features an online interactive dashboard that will consistently tally the hours contributed by athletes from each county.

The County with the most community service hours by June 30th, 2027 will be recognized as the Long Island Community Service Champion for the year.

VIDEO CHALLENGES

During the 2026 Holiday Season and the Spring of 2027, athletes, teams, schools or organizations involving athletes can upload a community service project to www.TeamUp4Community.org with a VIDEO and details of their work for a chance to receive a scholarship or grant. $5,000 in total will be awarded each VIDEO CHALLENGE.

You can help Fuel the Movement here on Long Island by supporting the work of the W20 Foundation’s Project Team Up 4 Community, which helps thousands of Long Islanders in need each year.

Your voice matters. Conversations, emails, and social media all play a powerful role in expanding the reach of the Nassau vs. Suffolk Challenge and inspiring more youth athletes to understand the real impact of community service.

That understanding doesn’t happen by accident—it’s sparked through education, connection, and leadership development.

Through Team Up 4 Community’s Leadership Conferences, student-athletes are introduced to the power of service and challenged to think beyond themselves. In partnership with local school districts, Sections VIII and XI on Long Island, and state athletic associations, founder Steve Webb leads interactive experiences that inspire students to take action and create meaningful change in their schools and communities.
