L.I. Spring Sports Heroes Video Challenge 2022

GOAL:
The W20 Foundation’s Team Up 4 Community Program would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in our 2022 L.I. Spring Sports Heroes Community Service Challenge.
The work our youth athletes, teams, schools, and organizations are doing to make a difference in the lives of others is highly commendable! By showcasing this great work together we are assisting in inspiring others to give back and make a difference in their communities!
This Spring Challenge recorded 20,534 athletes performing over 36,319 hours of community service! This is valued at an economic impact of $306,896 given back to our communities in service! These athletes also raised $286,038 for charitable causes.

Middle Country Boys Lacrosse “Goals for Giving event”
They raised money to build communication boards for their playgrounds to help non-verbal special needs students communicate.

Syosset Interact Club “Syosset for Sunrise”
They have a goal to raise $20,000 for Sunrise Day Camp. It is the world’s first full-summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, provided completely free of charge.

Bethpage High School’s Varsity Softball Team “Joe’s Fight Is Our Fight”
The team raised funds and awareness for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in honor of athletic trainer Joe Killeen, who is battling pancreatic cancer.
