NYSPHSAA COMMUNITY SERVICE CHALLENGE
2021-2022
For the 2021-2022 school year, the NYSPHSAA had Partnered with the W20 Foundation’s Project Team Up 4 Community to encourage Youth Athletes to give back to their communities through the NYSPHSAA Community Service Challenge!
The Team Up for Community portal provides schools the opportunity to showcase community service projects which ultimately foster young peoples’ sense of civic engagement and community thus helping them achieve their educational, developmental, and social goals. This is the fourth year NYSPHSAA honored Community Service Challenge Champions after each sports season.
This school year, a total of 429 projects were submitted with a total of 15,508 student-athletes participating in some type of community service project. In total 55,430 hours were volunteered and $537,130 was raised for charitable causes.
